In the era of advancing medical technologies, the field of nursing is rapidly evolving, changing the landscape of healthcare. The healthcare challenges are diverse and complex in which the role of nurses is more crucial. There was a need of a good textbook, which will equip its readers with essential clinical skill along with theoretical framework in the field of nursing education. The present book explains the importance of exemplary nursing practice, empathy, integrity and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The book includes wealth of information, meticulously curated to empower the students during their professional journey. I know all three authors personally since many years as excellent teachers and dedicated clinicians devoting their life for students and patients. The book titled “Midwifery/obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Nursing-II” covers the revised syllabus of B.Sc. Nursing semester-VII, approved by Indian Nursing Council. The syllabus is systematically divided into unit-I to V, including 1 to 13 competencies. The total time available in the semester is divided unit wise in to theory, practical and clinical study, which will help the teachers to cover it within the appropriate schedule and will also help the students to understand the importance of that topic from examination point of view. Each unit also covers the learning outcomes, activities and assessment methods along with MCQ and SAQ. All these features are unique indicating, how helpful the book will be to the students and faculty. With the knowledge gained by referring this book, I hope the students will transform lives, foster hope and embodies the ever essence of patient care during their professional practice. I am sure that the book will be popular among the students and faculty, so much, so that the authors will be forced to publish its second edition. I congratulate all the three authors for making the teaching learning easy in the field of nursing education.
